My primary areas of practice are summarized below. See the “Practice Notes” in the column to the right for more detailed information on each area of legal practice.
Bankruptcy:Consumer Chapter 7 and 13 cases; pre-bankruptcy planning and alternatives; creditor representation in all chapters.
Commercial Collections:Collections on commercial accounts and associated personal guaranties.
Commercial Litigation:Litigation arising from disputed commercial transactions, breach of contract, etc.
Construction Liens:Foreclosure of construction liens.
Defense of Consumer Credit Cards, etc.:Many suits against consumers arising from credit cards and other consumer transactions can be defeated for a variety of reasons, such as Statute of Limitations, lack of adequate documentation / proof, etc. In other cases, an attorney can assist you in negotiating more favorable terms of payment.
Foreclosures:Primarily defense of foreclosures in protecting the homeowners’ rights in the foreclosure process.
Landlord / Tenant:Representing either the landlord or the tenant in drafting / reviewing lease documents; and in the eviction process and litigation.
Other:Representing you in a variety of other civil matters and preventative measures. An attorney can assist businesses with drafting appropriate credit applications, contracts and lease agreements to put you in a more favorable position in a problem transaction.
